Resume Review
The resume is the most critical component of your job search. You have one page to capture your strengths and skills, and potential recruiters will spend just 15 or 30 seconds reviewing it. The resumes of candidates with illegible formatting or grammatical errors will be immediately discarded, and candidates who market themselves poorly and fail to tailor their resumes to their target industries will struggle to get interviews. Blue Chip Career has established a rigorous process to completely revamp your resume:
1) Professional Template
Your resume will be re-formatted into Blue Chip Career’s resume template, which has been developed in close collaboration with Scott Morris, former CEO of Boston Options Exchange and Managing Director at Goldman Sachs.
2) Careful Tailoring of Your Resume to Your Target Industry
You will complete a questionnaire detailing your strengths, skills and job search goals. The resume reviewer will work with you and this information to highlight your experience and skill set to your target employers.
3) Detailed Mentor Review
After your resume reviewer completes your resume, a Mentor will carefully review it as if he or she were picking candidates for a first round interview. The Mentor will make a final round of refinements to ensure that your resume will make it into the “yes-pile”.
It should be noted that the resume review process is a separate service and is not mentor-specific. Therefore, you should be able to purchase the resume review as a separate product without having to navigate to a specific mentor.
