Like many bulge bracket investment analysts, I had heard about the much-coveted buyside associate position (PE / VC) and knew that it was something I definitely wanted to do. However, while many of my peers were going on 2-3 interviews a week, my interview schedule was much spottier, averaging one interview a month. I knew that in order to be competitive, I had to be overly prepared.
