What is genuine mentoring?
Genuine mentoring represents our focus on facilitating and fostering mutually beneficial relationships between clients and mentors. Blue Chip Career prides itself on providing executives who believe in the mentoring process and are driven by a sincere desire to help others. Having spent the past 30 months building a network of passionate and knowledgeable professionals, we are confident that our clients and mentors will reap the rewards of genuine relationships.
Our Story
Blue Chip Career was started by young professionals that experienced and witnessed the challenges, stress, and frustration involved in job searches and career transitions.
Chris Carey, Blue Chip Career’s Founder, started his career in 2008 working in New York for an investment bank. In this year, both Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers failed, and the stock prices of firms across the financial services industry hit record lows. Chris witnessed many of his friends and young professionals lose their jobs, and then struggle to network as well as effectively navigate the job market.
Chris clearly saw how difficult the job search and career development process can be and noticed a lack of good resources. He spent his nights outlining the early plans for what would eventually become Blue Chip Career and started recruiting mentors from New York, Los Angeles and Chicago in early 2009. Now, with over 150 mentors across the nation, Blue Chip Career serves as an equalizer for job seekers of all backgrounds.
